Help! I have 2 male cats (2.5 and 3 years old) who are both fixed and were rescued from a shelter. They seem to have a love-hate relationship. Most of the time they are cuddling and being social to eachother but they also have fighting spells where they are at each other's throats, literally. They make terrible cries and I end up throwing a pillow at them to break it up. I have been noticing that one of my cats (the larger one) periodically has gashes on his neck where his skin is raw, red and exposed. He also gets pushed out of the way during feeding time by my other cat who is smaller than him. How do I stop them from hurting eachother and encourage the larger cat to stick up for himself during feeding time. Thank you for any helpful advice that you can provide me. IP: Logged |

You could try a squirt gun - giving them a little squirt during these serious fights. For the feeding problem..is it possible for you to feed them in seperate rooms? IP: Logged |
