My cat Oscar is still trying to nurse. He is a very affectionate cat and he loves to cuddle up close but then he tries to suck my shirt sleeve or the neck of my shirt or anything he can get into his mouth. I do not know much about Oscar's past or even his exact birthday but I believe he is about 8 or 9 months old. He shouldn't still be trying to nurse, should he??? I love him so much but the sound of the sucking is so very loud and keeps me up at night - not to mention it soaks my clothing. Is there anything I can do to help him stop? IP: Logged |

Oscar is in love with love the poor little fellow! LOL! I would opt to say a firm "no", put him out of the bed, and/or kennel him or put in another room. The lesser action first, to see if it works, to alleviate the problem. The key is to be firm but gentle. God bless. IP: Logged |
