Our cat has very dry skin is there anything we can put on him that dosen't require water
he hates water so we try to keep him away from the bath tub. we are feeding them the purina hairball formula

Dry skin is almost always related to diet. None of the commercial foods provide adequate nutrition- however, some of the more natural brands (innova, california natural, etc.) do a better job. Check out the diet section of a natural health book for animals (a good one- Natural Health for Dogs and Cats by Pitcairn.) Good luck!
