hi all im new 2 this site,i was wondering if some 1 could help me, i have a 10 wk old female kitten,the problem is she wont use the litter tray,she puts her paws in it then takes them out i have tried to lift her into it but she runs as she is nervous,im sick of cleaning around the house after it,when it soils in 1 place i block it of from getting there again but then it just goes somewere else,any ideas would be a help IP: Logged |

pls pls some 1 think of something to say, my kids love it but i cant go cleaning up every were it goes,im single parent with 4 children and thats hard enough without a kitten that wont use its tray,nor even let you pick him up he flies out of your arms IP: Logged |

Has she used the box at all since you've had her or did she just stop using suddenly? If she just stopped using it suddenly a vet appt. should be made to rule out UTI or other health problems associated with her not using the box. If she has never used the box its possible that just needs to learn to. My advice is to put her and her litter box in a confined room until she starts using the box. If she poops out of the box pick it up and put it in the box so she smells it in there and she will hopefully get the idea. Along with what nern said also try a different type of cat litter that was the problem with one of my cats she just didnt like that particular type of cat litter IP: Logged |
