any cats that look just like mine. I've looked in books, online, in pet shops, cat shows, ect. I purchased my kitten from a pet shop almost a year ago, she will celebrate her birthday on the 27th of this month. Oddly enough, it's the same birthday as my lifelong friend that I recently had to part ways with do to severe mental illness. I believe this was God's way of telling me I have a wonderful new best friend:-) Anyway, this cat is a little unusual looking. She is petite compared to most cats. She resembles a tortoise shell tabby but her hair is extremely short and silky. Her ears are a little higher, her eyes are topaz and turquoise. She has sort of a hump back and sits up a little differently than most cats. She has two very pronounced circles on either side of her body, a couple of very uniform spots on her back, carmel in color and sort of outlined in black. She is carmel and charcoal in color with some subtle henna shading mixed in, no calico though. Her chin is a little extra pointy. Don't get me wrong, she's GORGOUS and I just love her. She has the most wonderful personality. Does anyone know what breed or mix of breeds she might be? I've seen many cats that look sort of similiar but none that look too close. I am beginning to wonder if someone might have given me a wildcat from the zoo LOL! Just kidding. I love Dolly Madison, she's the best kitty a person could ever hope to have and I thank the Lord for her. IP: Logged |

She sounds lovely! Especially the eye color! My sister has one she adopted. She is A grey Tabby, with very bold pretty stripes. She is just a kitten, but she is soo cute! IP: Logged |

Thanks for your responses, that's what she has, bold stripes and exotic looking swirls on her body. She's what's known as a torticat, or tortoise shell, but in addition to having the bold, thick tortoise marking she has very defined oval swirls, very uniform in shape on either side of her body. Like I said, I've seen many, many cats with similiar markings but none quite like this. I feel so blessed to have her as she is extra playful and has the best personality of any cat I've ever met. Unfortunatly she doesn't like too much handling though. She only allows me to hold her and cuddle for a few minutes at a time so we spend "quality time" together throughout the day. She's very independant. IP: Logged |
