Ive sprayed the cables with "apple bitter" spray but that isnt working at all

can anyone suggest anything else?

The only thing I can suggest is 1)getting a cable tidy so that the cables all sit neatly and dont swing around whilst you are using the computer and 2)rubbing them with pure lemon juice. Cats hate citrus, apple bitter is not a citrus fruit.
