i am currently fostering a mother cat and her kittens. the kittens are about 6 weeks now and are done feeding. The mother cat seems to be showing signs of pregnancy such as a firm stomach, higher appetite and her nipples seem to be gowing larger. She hasn't been out while she was here and when we got her her kittens were 4 weeks. I think she might have gotten pregnant before we got her. The woman that brought the cat to us said they can get pregnant even while they are still nursing. My dad thinks the larger stomach is because of her eating so much but her stomach is to firm to be concidered fat. please respond with any help you may have. Thank you Brittany. Yes, it is definately possible for her to get pregnant even while nursing. I also rescued a cat that was still nursing and was also pregnant again. IP: Logged |

A cat can come into heat as soon as one week after giving birth. I've got a rescue queen with a three week old litter. She's very under weight and I really hope that she's not pregnant! IP: Logged |
