Author | Topic: 4 week old blind kitten - help! |

![]() ![]() ![]() I am the proud new mommy to a weak, skinny 3 or 4 week old kitten that was from a litter of 4, 2 of which died (we were unable to catch the wild mom cat, and the healthier kitten). I took him to the vet 1st thing and he had a severe case of herpes in his eyes and it appears that he will be blind due to the severity. Other than his young age and eyes, it looks like he will recover. Does anyone else have a blind cat? My other concern is that he is eating wonderfully the kitten nursing milk, but still hasn't gone potty, I have tried rubbing his rump and pee pee, but no luck, and need some suggestions.!!! Thanks! ![]() ![]() ![]() Other than rubbing the rump..Im not sure how to get them to go potty. Are you using something warm and moist to rub it with? I have a siamese mix that is 90% blind, according to my vet. She has been this way since I got her at 7wks and is 2yrs old now. She gets around fine and is a wonderful pet. ![]() IP: Logged |
