Author | Topic: Cat licking off fur... |

![]() ![]() My cat is about 4 years old, and he has started licking and biting off the fur from about mid stomach down to his butt, and on the inside of his legs. I don't see any scabing or rash of any sort. He also has a very sensitive spot at the base of his tail, and if you rub it, he starts to drool. It doesn't seem to hurt him, because he is the type of cat to let you know if he doesn't like what you are doing. He also peed a couple times on the towels in the bathroom just last week. I was just wondering if anyone had any idea or a thought on the problem. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() It sounds like a bad reaction to either fleas or food. Do you see any flea dirt? If not, then it could be an adverse reaction to food. What kind of food is he on? Also, have you made any major changes in his lifestyle that would stress him out to the point of chewing his hair? Did you possibly go on vacation? IP: Logged |
