Someone by the user name of CAT posted a message about their cat limping. I am wondering what happened with the cat. My cat seems to be doing the same thing. After laying down for awhile he'll limp for about 5 steps, then he seems ok. Can't see anything wrong with his paw/pads, in between his toes. I started thinking its a joint problem?? Any suggestions? Of course CAT if you see this please let me know how your cat is. Thanks ------------------ IP: Logged |

My cat is also having the same problems. But his seems a bit worse, he started out just having a limp that would go away after 5 or 6 steps and then went back to normal. I talked to my vet and he said that it was probably just a strain, so a couple of days later he was completely better. But now today he is limpng very badly, even worse then he had when this whole thing started. His vet appointment on Saturday and I will let you know what he says. Just like you and CAT my kitty has no swelling, no cuts, no fever, no appearence of broken bones. IP: Logged |

Hi I will get back to you on that. I believe the vet told my mother told me it was a strain but I will have to confirm. I'll post again tomorrow with an answer. IP: Logged |

Thanks for your reply. We took him into the vet and he thinks it may be a pulled tendon. He's on some meds and has not limped. It will take a long time to heal. I found a very helpful page on some cat stuff it at http://www.pets-therapy.com/My-Buddy.Feline-Ten-Lig.htm. Hopefully you can find this info helpful too. Let me know what happens with your kitty. Hi there. Just checking about all this intermittant limping going on. My cat has done this four times over the last 2 weeks but only has a few steps that ar bad and then is fine. I thought maybe his leg fell asleep. What were some of your vet conclusions? IP: Logged |

The vet said it was nothing to worry about and suspected arthritis. He couldn't find anything wrong with her ligaments or bones. She is stiff and limps a bit after laying down but works herself out of it quickly. She doesn't appear to be in any pain after the first few limps and it hasn't gotten any worse. We are keeping an eye on it though. IP: Logged |
