Hello My name is Jezz. I am a 43 yr old disabled woman who for the last 3 years have purchased S/O Control pHormula Diet In Gel for Bree, my 6 yr old male cat. I am looking for an alternative food or the same at the lowest price. Any help with his condition and requirements would be helpful. He is so tired of the same ol' same ol' food and doesn't like the other brand offered at his doctors. Can you help me? He needs the canned food because he doesn't drink enough water. My fixed income is making this very hard for me. They want $36.00 for a case of 24 cans. It's too much for me and I'm needing help... anything would help at this point Sincerely, Jezz IP: Logged |

What is wrong with the cat that he needs the prescription diet? I don't think there are any over-the-counter diets available that could replace a prescription diet. Have you discussed your dilemma with your vet? Maybe he can recommend something suitable but cheaper. Another suggestion, what if you buy the dry version of the food and add some warm water too it to make it mushy? This would allow him to get the extra water and special dietary requirements that he needs but at a cheaper cost. Hope this helps. IP: Logged |
