Please can you help me ?? We took in 2 wild kittens and they havent eaten or drank a thing in two days They seem too scared to eat!! We have tried the bottle but they keep their mouths jammed tight. They are also very hard to handle, biting and hissin and so on Please write back as soon as u can, gettin them to eat is my main worry. ps: i think they are about 8-9 weeks old IP: Logged |

If you haven't done this already, put them in a room with a litterbox, food, water, toys and let them adjust. By all means visit them as often as you can to get them used to you, but let them come to you. Don't hold them by force if they don't want to be handled. Chances are, this is the closest a human has come to them so they will need time to come around. Both my cats were wild and only one was skittish. It took her weeks to come around. Just be patient. Once they have gotten used to you, let them out of the room and let them explore. Just give it lots of time. Good luck! IP: Logged |

Have you tried offering them canned food? Maybe you can rub a small amount on each of their paws...they should lick it off and then maybe once they get a taste of it they will want more. IP: Logged |

If they are 8-9 weeks old they are old enough to eat canned food or hard food. I would put them in a room with hard kitten food, and sometimes put down soft food. They will come out and eat it when you aren't there. I have taken in wild kittens before. They don't want anything to do with humans at first. They will eat when they think your aren't there and hide again when you come in the room. If you leave them with food, they will eat it. IP: Logged |
