My Kitten IS litterbox trained, but he also poops in every corner of the house, on my bed and even on my husbands leg the other night while sleeping!
If we bring him to the litterbox, he goes, and, sometimes he goes int he litterbox by himself. But, without fail, everyday he poops on the floor, the carpet, the bed, more than once each day. I have never seen this before! Help!
Also he eats like a starving beast, and his poop is very soft, not diarreah, but soft.
Please help!

Do you sleep with the door closed? If so, it could be possible that he just couldn't hold it until morning when he could get to the litter box. Or if you haven't had him very long he might be confused about where the box is.

Was it your husband or that cat that was alseep? If the kitty is pooing in his sleep that could be a sign that he's sick. You may want to get him to a vet to see if maybe he has trouble controling his bowels. In that case it could be more of a medical problem than behavioral.
