My cats have been playing in there litterboxes. I dont know why they are doing it but im going nuts. They will paw at it for a good 15 minutes for no appearant reason. I have 2 litterboxes, one covered and one not(for my kitten charlie) and they play in the uncovered box. They get the litter all over the carpet and lately they have been doing it sooo much i have to sweep the carpet up to 3 times a day. I was wondering if there is anyway to get them out of this. Also charlie cant hear so i cant really call him and say no. ------------------ IP: Logged |

When Bean was a kitten he used to play in the litter box and lay in it all the time...it drove me nuts too. He did eventually grow out of that luckily....hopefully yours will too. Im not sure how to deter them from doing it. Maybe someone else will have a suggestion. ------------------ IP: Logged |

Hi there all kittens like to play with there litter the reason is unknown, do your kittys have plenty of toys both you and your kittys can play with together to help stimulate there minds playing with them alot usually helps, i would not worry to much as its not a health or anything to worry about apart from the mess they make hehehehe... Some cats grow ouot of it others dont IP: Logged |
