I wrote 11-4-03. Since then have found a helping vet. Poop comes to anus, kitten can't have a nornal bowel movement. I have to give him enyma's. New vet said his bowel is not being moved by colon. A special diet is in order and drugs. I'm still waiting for a answer for treatment but I will do what ever it takes to get this on a healthy track. He is now 3 months old and part of our lives. His colon did't develop? Nope. IP: Logged |

What special diet are you giving him? I had a kitten who was constipated, luckily hers reolved itself. She was 8 weeks or so when she had problems. I took her to the vet at Petsmart since it was Saturday and the normal vet was closed. She was so blocked that they were going to have to do an enema, so they took her in the back. The worst noises started coming from the back, screeching cat noises, hissing, scrambling. I think people heard it on the other side of the store! They called all the vet techs and everyone back there to help. Finally after more horrible noises and crashes and booms the vet came out and said she was fine. They didn't even give her the enema, she was so mad that they were trying to give it to her that she was struggling and eliminated on her on during the fiasco. I thought that was a funny story. If only you could have heard the mess going on in the back room. She doesn't really like the vets in case you couldn't tell from the story! IP: Logged |
