My cat Chieve who came to me as a stray seems to have very uniqure features. The first thing I noticed about him was his long toes...I've never seen a cat with such long toes. Is this common in any certain breed? He has a body and head shaped somewhat like a siamese but he reminds me (from the pictures and description of coat) of a Russian Blue. He is so unique and every day I wonder what breed could be mixed in there. His coat is softer than all my other cats and he often appears to have a mohawk across his back...if you run your finger thru his fur it seems to leave an impression. And what a personality this boy has...I just can't get over it. Any ideas on what he could be mixed with? Here is a picture(I should really get a side veiw of him as these pictures don't show his unique features) He also appears in my signature...he is the one on the right. I always assumed he was a Russian Blue. I love those cats! I don't know about long toes, though.

we had a cat who also had a siamese head, but he reminded me of a russian blue. We don't know he was a mutt kitty (I am not sure what u would call a mixed breed cat!) He didn't have a siamese personality though! He was great with kids (I know, when I was two I used to play slide the kitty off the sandbox, or down the slide, I also liked 2 sit on him since he was a little chubby, he never cared!) ur cat looks exactly like mine did, except for the long toes and the fact that he is not overweight! ok, just what i had 2 say! I have two cats that look very similar to your Chieve (how do you say that?). They are both just gray domestic shorthairs. One of them, Milo, is a little chubbier and he gets a ridgeback from time to time. The other one, Gary, is leaner. Gary is a very tall healthy cat with a very sleek coat. I think you can tell Russian blues from domestic shorthair by their eye color, but I'm not too sure. IP: Logged |

His name is actually Mr.Chieveous (taken from the word mischievous) but I call him Chieve for short (pronounced Cheeve). His eye color is gold-orange, Russians are supposed to have green eyes (I think?)...I just thought he might have some Russian Blue in him because of the way his ears are set and his coat (not just the color but also the texture). He's also very talkative and has a long, thin body...kinda like a siamese. I guess he could be mixed with anything but whatever it is he is a wonderful cat. IP: Logged |
