I have recently acquired a 3 month old Russian Blue kitten. Today, out of the blue, she began limping when walking and prefering not to use her right leg. She had difficulty getting into a box that she normally bounds into easily. She doesn't seem reluctant to walk, however. I'm really concerned about her... Please help Thank-you in advance, Belle IP: Logged |

I would watch her for a few days and if she is still limping I would have a vet take a look. One day out of the blue my cat, Bean began limping...I checked his paw and did'nt see anything noticably wrong but after 2 days of this I decided to take him to the vet. By the third day (the day of the vet appt.) he was no longer limping and the vet did'nt find any thing wrong. Im guessing he must have just jumped on it the wrong way making it sore for a few days. My co-workers cat was limping for about a week before she took it to the vet and it turned out to be a bone infection in the cats shoulder. Just keep an eye on her for a few days and see how she does. ------------------ [This message has been edited by nern (edited 11-14-2003).] IP: Logged |
