I have had my cat, Spooky, since I was two. He is 18 now and he has been walking around dry heaving all day. Now, he is curled up in a corner by my chair outside and no one, not even my dad, can touch him. Is he going to die, and what will i do?! IP: Logged |

Spook is at my parents house in jacksonville...my dad says it's just time to let him go, but I am not ready! I am sure that it's probablly for the better but that doesn't make it any easier... IP: Logged |

Oh I am sorry, I didn't realize you were so far away. Did your dad try & get Spook to drink some water? I guess your dad will not take him to the vet? IP: Logged |

my cat died 3 nights ago. I feel for you. It is very difficult to lose your cat after so many years. When I lost my cat I felt like it is the end of the world. My suggestion is to take him to a vet and have him checked out. It may not be anything serious. Spend $300 and get a blood work, urine sample and x-ray. If the result shows that he is in poor shape then it is time to say good bye. No need to make him suffer any pain.

Well, good news is that Spook is doing MUCH better!! I was so scared to go home and that he would not be there...We are taking him to the vet this weekend. Thanks for all of your support, it means a lot IP: Logged |
