hello... My kitten Chloe has been chewing on most of the wires in my house. Not only am a worried about her safety, but she is also ruining them. I have tried clapping my hands at her and saying "no," but she just stops for a second and then continues again. I was wondering if there is something that I can spray on them so she will not chew on them any more? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Allison IP: Logged |

There are products you can spray on the wires to make her not want to eat them. I am not sure exactly what products are for wires, but I know they make some. IP: Logged |

I have a vegan cookbook that has all sorts of ways you can cook, clean, make your own make up from all natural and non animal products. one of the sections was 45 ways to use vinger for household uses. one suggestion was to spread vinger on places where you dont want your cat bitting, scratching, etc. i tried it because my cat loves my dogs water bowl. there is nothing he wants to do more then sit around that bowl and splash all the water out. so i put a little vinger around the bowl and he stopped. it didnt even upset the dog. also my cat will at times use my floor as his bathroom, i go right behind him with a bottle of water and vinger solution and clean it up. again he wont use that spot. the only problem with this is that you place will smell like vinger for a while. it will go away. and i have notice that when the sent does fade, the cat still DOES NOT go back to do what ever it was he was doing there. i dont really mind the smell of vinger so it works for me!! i would like to think it is safe to use on wires and what not. but maybe to be on the safe side, just use it around the wires and not on them. if you can handle the smell try it out. it really works with my cat. i dont really know of anyone else who does it though. well anyways. i hope you find something that works that helps!! good luck.
