Last night I awoke to a noise at the foot of my bed. My one female cat was making almost chirping noises. So, I get up to find out what's going on. Right by my feet, there was my male cat mounted over my female cat as she chirpped. My male cat is fixed. My female cat is fixed. Surprised by what I saw, I said Tash's name (male cat) and he was surprised and ran off. I checked out Zoe (the 'victim') and she was fine. Do fixed cats still have urges? It was just weird and I didn't know if anyone knows if this is normal or if anyone has had an experience like this. IP: Logged |

well i am not sure about fixed cats but i know fixed dogs sometimes still have urges. I think with most it is an act of dominance, but agian i am not sure about cats. Im curious though cause i have male and female kittens. IP: Logged |

I have a male and a female, both fixed and they have never done this. They are siblings, but I doubt that really matters to them. IP: Logged |
