I know this sounds strange, but lately my Abby is 'moving' her food and water dishes...literally. She moves it with her paw or her nose, so much so that that water is 'dumping' into the food and making the food all mushy. I feel bad, because her brother, Arnie, doesnt do this, and neither of them will eat mushy food I will wake up in the morning or come home and the dish will be moved 4 feet or more away from it's place. Why would she be doing this all of a sudden? Anything I can do to make her stop? IP: Logged |

How about getting heavier dishes that she can't move? IP: Logged |

My kitty does that too..she's 7 months old.I really don't have a suggestion except to get them those bowls that are connected together..maybe in metal..something a little heavier and harder to move. My girl also spits her food all over the floor all day every day and then chases it under the carpet and eats it...she's a very messy girl..so you see,it could be worse..lol..good luck!! IP: Logged |

Im not sure why she would be doing this....they do such strange things sometimes . Maybe you can get one of those no-skid bowels to stop her from moving it? They are stainless steel with rubber on the bottom so they don't skid. You could probably find them at any large pet store. ------------------ IP: Logged |

Would it be possible to move the food bowls to the place that your kitty likes it? Or would she just move it regardless of where you place the bowl? IP: Logged |

Yeah, Tom does the same thing. He will take a few morsals into the kitchen, and then spit them out and chase them all over the kitchen, eventually he'll get bored and leave them for us to clean up or eat them himself... IP: Logged |

No matter where I put the bowls she moves them. I did start using a different water bowl and moved it away from the food by 3 feet or so. Now she doesnt dump water into the food When she tries and moves the water bowl, it's too heavy for her and she cant dump the whole thing, but a little still spills out IP: Logged |
