Well my kitten died in her sleep lastnight. All I have done is cry and cry this morning. She was fine lastngith when we went to bed. This morning she was sleeping next to her teddy bear I gave her when we brought her home a week and two days ago and I knew she was dead. She normally starts moving and meowing in the am when we get up. My daughter is so upset and I just told her lastnight that I wasnt gonna give the kitten back becasue I knew they would probably put her to sleep. Im glad she died here with love and affection. I just wish I knew what was wrong with her from the beginning. Anyway, thanks everyopne for your advice youve given me. I plan to get another kitten but I dont know when I can do it.. Im just to sad right now. IP: Logged |

awww.. I'm soo sorry. You can take her back and ask them to do an autopsy on her to determine the cause of death so you can properly clean your home. I would also ask what she was exposed to, her vac records and ect... IP: Logged |

I called the vet, he is out til tomorrow. Are these king of things contagious to humans? The lady working their said its highly unliky but I need to clean everyhting related to the cat very good before I bring another one into the home. Does anybody know anyhting about this? Thanks IP: Logged |

I'm so sorry. I wouldn't worry about anything being contageous to humans. I never heard of anything like that... but that's my unprofessional opinion. I'm sure there will be recommendations for cleaning your home before you bring another little one in. Hopefully the vet will have specific suggestions for you. But, most importantly, I'm sorry that your kitten died. At least she was in a loving home rather than in a shelter during her last moments. After your hurt dulls a little, I'm sure it will be wonderful for you to bring another kitty in and lavish it with love. IP: Logged |

I am so sorry but at least this kitten was much love for the last few days of her life. She died in a loving environment instead of in a cage IP: Logged |

hello, so sorry to hear your kitten died. my older cat is dying right now i fear and i know how you feel, i have cried a river over this. she is still alive but barely. please go get another kitten and as soon as you can. my grandson gave me a kitten in sept. and said just in case my older cat dies. almost prophetic...he was right, this new kitten is such a help in coping with this sick older cat. run, don't walk -- to nearest place to get a new kitten and love in your life from one. lorijo IP: Logged |
