I find that I buy Blanche new toys often thinking that she hardly has any. Over the last few days I cleaned my place thoroughly and kept finding toys everywhere. In the end I found 22 TOYS for one cat in a Bachelor apartment. I couldn't believe it. I decided to put all her toys in a basket (you know like a toy box). I than put her in the basket so that she would know that it was her. For two days she did nothing and just when I thought it wasn't going to work, I was posting a message here, looked over and there she was taking her favorite ball out of the basket. How many cat toys do you have? (you should count them you may have more than you thought?) IP: Logged |

Too many! Your more likely to break your leg falling over a cat toy than do anything else in this house. There are balls, mice, scratching posts, fuzzy things on the ends of poles. My little freyja's hedgehog that she carries round and washes and then leave it in the middle of the stairs so you can break your neck in the morning! Then there are all the household objects that get used as cat toys, towels, rugs, my partners boots, pens, string... the list is endless! I have to admit though ping pong balls are the worst, having got them all out from various places, under the sofa, behind the TV there was 28 plus 17 inner bits (the part that holds the toy) from kinder eggs and 4 mice! Ok I have got three cats and they are all really cheap but effective toys but it makes you think that next time you see something cute in the pet shop you think the cat will like it might be a good idea not to buy it, at the risk one day you will wake up in a pile of cat toys! I find most of the cat toys either under the refrigerator (I know they are there when Zeus keeps his face staring under the fridge) or under the sofa in our entry room. I scoop them out now and then and come out with about 20 toys. T IP: Logged |

I think there is some secret place in the basement where they stash their toys. I am always buying them toys, but they always disappear. In my old place they all ended up under the stove. Here who knows where they go. I have looked and I can't find the stash. IP: Logged |

I have LOTS of toys, considering Punk (the cat) will play with anything from a leaf to a pen to whatever little thing he finds on the floor. I had to pick up all his real cat toys when I got a new puppy. I was afraid he'd eat one of them. He insists on putting everything in his mouth. IP: Logged |

I think between Rory and Sammy's toys I have close to 30!!! And I am not including what they CONSIDER toys i.e.: paper bages, toilet paper, my jewlery, shampoo bottles and anything else in the house! Last night I came home to find my bathroom shlf on the floor and everything that was on it all over the floor!! They are little troublemakers when I am at work IP: Logged |
