My cat Molly is 10 years old. She is a great cat...really loving, well behaved etc Today I came home to discover she had pooed in the hallway! She has never done this and always goes outside. She is healthy and well. Is she just getting lazy? Its been raining heavily for days.... I have noticed foxes in the garden...is she scared to go out or is she having an off day??? Any advice gratefully received..thanks!

if you have foxes outside I think I'd be setting up a litterbox inside so she doesn't have to be exposed to that kind of danger. That would be a way to find out for sure. It she continues to go inside the house you might want to get her checked by a vet to make sure she's not ill.

My dogs hate going out when it is raining. One of them will still go but the other just stands there and wont potty. Maybe it has to do with the rain. Although I would be scared of foxes if I was a cat, so that could be part of it.
