last summer, my cat tigger, started sratching her face. at first i though she was just ichy but then she began to bleed and get big gross scabs. she's been to the vet and they gave her a steriod shot for allergies and clavamox..neither worked. then i was forcing linatone down her throat but i couldn't bear doing that anymore so i bought her special sensitive skin food and she's so fat now. i don't know what to do. If the food seems to be helping her can't you just reduce the amount you are feeding to get her weight back down? IP: Logged |

Hello. Is the food helping her? Is she still itchy? How much of the food are you feeding her per day? If she's doing well on the food, then perhaps you could get her to exercise a bit more. Get a lazer poiner for cats (just don't shine it in her eyes, as it can cause damage). IP: Logged |

My cats really like the fishing pole type toys and some of them really go nuts chasing around these foam balls that I bought. I do have a hard time trying to get my fatties to play much though. [This message has been edited by nern (edited 03-05-2004).] IP: Logged |
