this is off the subject but i posted on the bird board and no one is answering back.. i was hoping someone on here might know...ok i went to my mother in laws work today and a womna there had mentioned that she has a lovebird that she needs to get rid of she had it w/ another lovebird that died 2 months ago and since tnen this bird has done nothing but chirp non stop and was driving her crazy that if she didnt have it a home by the end of the week she was setting it free soi have been looking a a lovebird and offered to take it in well my ? is i heard that u can guess the sex of the bird by the shape of thje tail female the tails square shaped male the tails round this ones is round anyone ever heard of this?????? im taking it down tomarrow to have a bird specilist guess the sex by feeling the pelvic bone but... i also need some name ideas???? my son likes naming after cartoons soooo... we r thinking male:stitch female:keyera but not sure [This message has been edited by FMgurl43 (edited 03-18-2004).] IP: Logged |

That is a really pretty bird.....I'm glad you decided to adopt it. I hate the idea of someone getting rid of an unwanted pet by "setting it free". Sorry, I don't know much about lovebirds but maybe someone on the bird forum can give you some info on sexing them? IP: Logged |

well thank u ... im gonna get him/her another bird hopefully this weekend soooo... im just gonna take it down and have the bird ppl guess at the sex hopefully tomarrow they were closed today sooo.... IP: Logged |
