I love having my baby! Everyone who's seen Legally Blonde saw Bruiser in Elle's purse, right? Nestle absolutely loves getting carried around in mine. Anyway, had to go on a three hour round trip and since no one was going to be awake to let Nestle outside, I kidnapped her, her kennel, and my purse (well, I guess you can't really kidnap your own purse) and set out. Tried starting off in the kennel since I wanted her to be as safe as possible, but she cried and cried and I just couldn't stand it and felt evil. Strapped my purse in with a seatbelt and let her in there, but kept crawling out and I didn't want to zip it. She ended up (the spoiled brat princess!) sitting on my lap the rest of the trip there and back. It wasn't bad because she settled down as soon as she got wrapped up in my shirt and just slept most of the way without causing trouble. Gotta love tiny dogs! Got done with my errands early and decided to take her out to my cousin's beach to see if she'd like the sand and water. she followed us out to a drop off that was six inches from shore, swam to my cousin, turned around, ran back on the beach, and buried herself in the volleyball court's sand. Wouldn't it have been nice if I'd have thought that I JUST paid over $100 to get my car detailed less than a week ago before letting puppy play around all the lake water and sand?! Guess my blonde roots are coming out ! Wrapped her in a towel and dried her off, took her over to my aunt's house and left her with my other cousin who basically stole her as soon as I walked in the door (and tried to refuse to give her back when I was leaving, he's 16!) while I chatted with the fam. Walked in and they were both under a blanket asleep (let's all say it now... aww!). Finally got home and she and Sage were happily reunited and everyone lived happily ever after until the next trip (which might not be for a while!). The end! IP: Logged |

That sounds like a fun getaway. I never bring mine to the beach because I know they hate the water. They would swim if neccesary but only that. If they loved it I would. Sasha my poodle is not afraid to walk rigth next to my sisters pool. If I go near it so does she. Tell your cousin he has to get is own pup. IP: Logged |

I told him I'd get him his own Chi from the next batch of Nestle's breeder if he really wanted one, but I just don't think he's a chi type guy. Nestle's just a really one of a kind. Everyone loves her because no matter how annoying she is (she has a super whining problem, refuses to even somewhat get housetraining (I know puppy still), and other various annoyances), she makes it adorable and you can't help but want to cuddle with her. Sasha sounds fun. Is she a standard or toy (I know, duh, toy forum...)? IP: Logged |
