I have my new puppy and my bf has his Dachshund, and we dont live together but i want our dogs to get along since we will take our dogs with us. does anyone have any ideas what to do since we dont live together and the dogs dont spend alot of time but have been around eachother a bit? the older dog has already bit the puppy but i just wanted to know if anyone has any ideas. I think you need to bring them both on outings together away from each home. Let them get to know each other off of their turf. This will be the start. Then ease the pup into the dachsie's territory. He wants to be boss of his home so he may act very bossy. Just always keep an eye on them. Just in case an arguement occurs so you can grab the pup up. IP: Logged |
