Winnie is starting to eat her own poo. She is a year old, and this has started about a month ago. When she was a puppy, she used to eat OTHER DOGS POO. Now, hers is apparently the delicacy of the month. What can I do to rid her of this NASTY habit. I dont want any "Winnie kisses" after she has had a mouthful of poo...HELP!!!! IP: Logged |

I do belive they make a product you can put in their food and it turns them off of their own poo. As for other dogs poo, you can only catch him in the act and tell him firmly no no. Until he is old enough to understand. Puppies from a young age watch their moms clean their littermates bums by eating the poop. Just watch where your dog goes and pick up quickly. Thats what I have to do with my poo. Also, a dog will usually digest their food so quick that some food comes out undigested, making it appealing to our dogs. ------------------ [This message has been edited by puttin510 (edited 01-03-2004).] IP: Logged |
