I have two puppies from the same litter, GS mixed breed. My vet's assistant advised neutering the male at 5 months old to prevent a possible pregnency. By the way the assistant phrased it, it seemed like a taboo topic. Will this hurt my puppy. I know usually it is recommended at six months. I suppose I could seperate them, but that would break their little hearts. IP: Logged |

5 months is about the right age! It won't hurt him. GO ahead and have it done! IP: Logged |

I have heard as young as 12 weeks that you can have it done. Now is a great time! IP: Logged |
