![]() ![]() ![]() Does anyone know any tricks for getting the background stuck to the aquarium glass properly? I have tried to wet it and squeegee the air bubbles out. It looks great for a couple of days and then dries off and is difficult to see again. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() I dont think there is a trick. I have backgrounds on all my tanks, and the only thing holding then on is tape. I found that if you tape on side and pull tight from the other usually gets pretty good results. Don't know about you, but i dont like the look of water holding it in place, besides if it goes too long, you will stain the glass. Hopefully this helps IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() Slide it into the molding of the tank and then tape the sides to hold it tight. That's how I do all of my tanks, the tape is really only necessary if only the top or bottom has molding and not both. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() I've heard people recommend using vaseline or a cooking oil. I've never used it, but it's supposed to work really well. -Chelle IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() Thanks for the ideas everyone. I have already tried the tape and the moulding and it does hold the background well. I was hoping to find a way to make it more visible through the tank so I may try the vaseline/oil idea out. That does sound a little messy though! L.O.L. Wish me luck!!! IP: Logged |
