I have a 55 gallon tank and my 2-4 feet redtail catfish haven't moved in a week. I also have 3-1 foot Pacu's in the same tank. I was wondering since the redtailed catfish don't need to swim (because they havn't been) Could I add a foot long Oscar to the tank? I saw it at the pet store and he's really pretty? Before I get flamed I have not rock or decorations so I'm giving all 55 gallons to the fish. IP: Logged |

Wait a minute, you have two 4 foot long fish and 3 1 foot fish in a tank that is only 4 feet by 1 foot and you want to add more? It doesn't already look like a sardine can you you? Got a picture of this tank? Quite frankly, I don't believe you. Those fish would be stunted and dead long before they reached that size because a 55 gallon simply cannot handle the bioload of those fish, let alone the fact that there is no way those fish at those sizes would even fit in that tank. However, if this is a legit question, then you need to get rid of all your current fish NOW and don't buy anything else until you do. You will need several thousand gallons to house the pacus and catfish properly. -Chelle IP: Logged |

It is obvious that 2 four foot long fish and 3 one foot long fish could not possibly live in a four foot long tank. Please do not post nonsense questions. Thank you. IP: Logged |
