does anyone know where would be a good place to look for used cheap tanks. some of my friends said flee market but i just wanted more input on the subject....or does any one have used tanks that are at least 50gal they wanna sell IP: Logged |

Definitely check the classifieds. You can also ask your LFS. I know the one here sometimes gets in large used tanks and sells them pretty reasonably. Just make sure that you fill it up and check for leaks before handing over any money. Also, you can get a 55 gallon tank, stand, filter (although not the greatest quality), heater, lights, & hood at Walmart for about $300. -Chelle IP: Logged |

Where I live, tank prices get ridiculously expensive. So I resorted to buysell.com. I found a guy in my area selling a 75 gallon tank with the stand, UGF, two pwrheads, canopy, light, another filter, and heater for 150$ Canadian. I talked him into throwing a few of those things in there extra. Everything in good condition, just gave it a wash and it was like new. I'm not saying you'll find as good of a deal as I did but it's worth a try! IP: Logged |

I guess I'm lucky my LFS has a used equipment sale every month and they always got alot of great stuff you get tanks and stands 50% off and leaker tanks 80% off. http://www.elmersaquarium.com/index.htm IP: Logged |
