FIsh Dude- this is what i would do. First turn you heater off for a few hours and see how much the temp drops. if it drops to much to quikly you cannot go without a heater. second, what is the big deal that you do not want a heater? does it look dumb? you can't afford one? just want to see if you can get by without? it is a good idea to have a heater in your tank. you live in florida right? what about the a/c. this will affect the temp in your tank. if any of the above questions are yes, i would not recommend getting a salt water tank any time soon. it takes much time and costs a lot of money. i think you should wait and get more experiance with you fresh water tank first. there needs to be much research done before getting into salt. You are still researching freshwater. All as i am saying is do your research first this time. salt is not something you just go out and but some day. hope this helps IP: Logged |
