what could cause an oscar's colour to fade? i know they fade as they grow but mine is only about 4 or 5 inchs and can any one help me he seems really content with his habitat and responses to me well so i don't know y his pattern is going away. IP: Logged |

Oscars will change colors depending on their mood. If he's otherwise acting normal, I wouldn't worry too much. -Chelle IP: Logged |

thanks alot for all the adivce. but i got another question for u. i recently left on a one week trip and before my oscar would reconized me but now after my trip he ignores me and hides from me.. does he just need time or is there somthing wrong IP: Logged |

He's probably just sulking. And I'm assuming you didn't feed him during that time (which is fine) so he's probably a little mad at you for that. He should come around. -Chelle IP: Logged |

My oscar was always pissy, even though he had a 75 gallon and I fed him whenever he asked for it... oscars are weird fish. IP: Logged |
