Hi everyone,I wanted to see if you guys could give me some info about a mini-donkey.We would like to get one this year and we have no experience on donkeys or horses.I've heard they are very gentle with children.Which is why I would like to find out more about them.I have to go into my vet this week so I'll also see what info he can give me.I went to the bookstore to see if they had any books on them, but they were out so we are ordering one.Well any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,Shanean IP: Logged |

I used to work at a small family farm that had a young mini donkey. A Sicilian (don't hold me to that, I don't know my donkey breeds well!!) I believe. He was the cutest friendliest thing ever. He loved attention, loved being petted and groomed, and above all, loved getting treats. The biggest concern with him was overfeeding and the risk of founder. So I guess that would be the biggest concern, especially with spring coming. Good luck with the donkey! IP: Logged |
