I am having trouble with my horses canter, espcially in one direction. If I take him in circles its okay, and he slows down. But everytime I try to get him on the wall and canter in a straight like, he speeds up, picks up the wrong lead, and sometimes leans. What can I do about it? Thanks. .Someone please let me know/ IP: Logged |

Try the rocking method. While your cantering in a straight line, and you feel that he's begining to speed up, slowly and very gently rock the reigns back and forth creating gentle pressure on the bit, he won't have the desire to stop, but knows he should slow. IP: Logged |
