-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- http://www.pawsnj.org/who.html Please help, I provided the link above all you have to do is click on and send the Camden County Board of Freeholders an email, You can click on and send a prewritten email or you can send your own. The Camden County Animail shelter has been accused of selling and or renting the animals out to product and experimental testing. They have dominated the state for the past few years with the highest Kill rate in the STATE of NJ. (Stats are also available on this site) They spend little money to advertise the animals that they have there. If you read futher the animal shelter also has a very high turn over rate of employees. Employees who questioned the condition that the animals were coming back in after being rented out or sent out for "whatever" were quickly fired. Here is an excerpt... "In Brief: As executive director of the Camden County Animal Shelter McCleery is responsible for creating shelter policies and managing the shelter on a day to day basis. In 2002 alone, McCleery was accused of animal cruelty by the NJ SPCA and cited repeatedly in three separate civil rights lawsuits filed by the State of New Jersey, Department Of Law And Public Safety, Division Of Civil Rights on behalf of shelter employees. A death threat, sent to the home of a individual critical of McCleery's policies, was traced to McCleery's home by Detective Bud Monaghan of the Cherry Hill police department. Under McCleery's management, the Camden County Animal Shelter repeatedly ranks as one of the highest kill animal shelters in the State of New Jersey. McCleery, has repeatedly fired employees and volunteers who have demonstrated a commitment to animal welfare. McCleery, whose salary is paid largely by the taxpayers of Camden County, has been unwilling to comment regarding these subjects. " This man is not the sort that should be running an animal shelter.
