![]() ![]() ![]() My grandmother has a finch and had a canary each in seperate cages but next to each other. Recently the canary passed away and now she is wondering if she should get another finch to keep the other one company. If so, should she keep it in a seperate cage or would it be okay to put them together (considering the finch is used to having the cage all to himself)? IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() Im no expert but in my view what you should do is get another finch if you want and put him in to the cage were the other bird was that died and see how th first bird reacts to the new bird if all is going well why not maybe your grandma or who ever it was start a breeding company lol! Hope that helps. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() finches are very sociable unless its breeding season and there is females about but there will be no problem putting another finch in the same cage i used to breed finches and found to have no problems at all if there is no breeding intended you can place the same sex bird in the cage 2 males or 2 females together will not fight hope this helps you... sorry to hear about the canary.... mike xxx IP: Logged |
