Hi I was wondering how old a cockatiel has to be before they start to breed? My mother and my aunts all three have cockatiel's and are wanting to brred them, but they can't find any information. Any help would be appriciated.

i waited till mine were about 18months before i let my birds together as they need to be mature otherwise there could be problems with egg laying and chick mortality... so aslong as your birds are over 12 months old they should be fine IP: Logged |
