Hi All female birds lay eggs without even mating with a male but these eggs are infertile so no chicks from them. Since there is no mlae and your not breeding the bird it would be better to try and stop her from laying. Reducing the amount of light she has a day by 4hours. She is using calcium everytime she lays eggs so with her being a single bird its better if she does not lay eggs. The eggs she has should be left with her for 19 days then remove them this is there incubation period if you remove the eggs while she is still laying then for every egg you remove she will just lay another to replace the one taken.. if you need anymore advice or help please feel free to email me. mike boro_lad1976@hotmail.com IP: Logged |
