I purchased two parakeets approximately 3 weeks ago. Things were fine until approximately a week ago when the slightly larger bird began almost constantly picking with the smaller bird. He does not allow the smaller bird to play with any of the toys and often interrupts the smaller bird when he eats. Any advise would be appreciated IP: Logged |

Hi, Are your birds both male or male female? Male birds tend to pick on the smaller males this is to show they are the boss. Male and female pairs the male tends to peck the female when he wants to mate this is typical behaviour but a mature male will know when the hen is ready how old are your birds? If you would like more help please feel free to email me. mike IP: Logged |
