Hello there, I just got 2 Tiels for X-mas. I have a male and a Female. I used to have them many yrs ago. about 9 yrs ago. this is like new to me again. my male is doing something wierd and I have never had my others do this. when I cover the cage, they both eat and drink, like they have their times backwords. but my male will climb the cage while she sqwaks at him. so I repeat her whistle. I was reading that the whistle she makes is a happy content whistle. as I found the same whistle on the net and it was what she was doing. so I feel thankful for that. But Why is Simba climbing the cage? he acts like he wants out. but nor him or Nala will come to me as yet. I stick my hand in there a few times a day, I can now stroke Nala for a few minutes, i can touch him but he runs. where I couldnt before. the are both about 3-4 months old. months old. Is there something that he is after or is he playing, or is he going crazy..lol to mention the word crazy in front of Simba and he is like all ears. I think he likes the word. or could it be my Dog. my Dog wants to play with them, but I'm afraid he would hurt them, as he is a Big Dog. its funny when she whistles my dog cries and whines.go figure. I'm just curious as to why he climbs the cage. right now they both are grinding the beak. grrr thats annyoing. but i know they are content. can some one answer my questions. as I will have plenty more in the near future. I have ICQ and yahoo, and I'm always on line after 12:00 pm Eastern time. below is my Yahoo name mibChipinQueen my ICQ number is 42920416 I'm opening to all for help and understanding, as its been many years since I had tiels.
