2 summers ago sum made a nest in my dads car and we didnt kno until they started falling out. we tried 2 save all 4 of then but since they were all in poor condition only 1 of them lived. we named him albert, b/c he had a few soft feathers on his head that puffed out in the same style as albert einstein. we hand raised him and took care of him for about 3 months while we were teaching him to be able to live in the wild. first we would let him stay out in the woods by my house for a few hours then that went to more hours then that went to nights then one day he never came back which i find a success. the next summer i found another starling laying on the sidewalk in bad condition as was the first one we found, so we raised him also. we named him dilbert b/c it had sum shorter feathers on its head (like dilbert the cartoon). we raised this bird the same way and it ended leaving one day also. the best thnig about these birds were that they were about 1 day old when we started taking care of them and calling them by their names. soon after when they would fly into the woods and be no-where in site, all you had 2 do was call their names n they would use their own call and come n land on you. i really miss these birds, but at least they left when there was a pack of starlings nearby which leads me to belive that they were alright and moved on with the group. moral : if u ever find a sick or injured/helpless animal try to raise it. you never kno, u mite endup with 2 miracles like these 2 were.
