i did what ppl said to do to get her used to me petting her and touching her...i can now put my hand in the cage and get her to come up on my finger while i pet her...but what i want to know is what steps should i take in getting her used to coming out of the cage without her flying away? thank you -beth- IP: Logged |

make sure her wings are clipped. Take her out in a small room with no obstcles for her to fly into. Ie. Celing fans, sharp objects...ect... IP: Logged |

Hi, When she is sat on your finger slowly remove your hand from the cage a little then stop wait about 20seconds and move a little further keep doing this until your hand is fully out of the cage. Once out of the cage keep your hand still and allow her to look around and if she is wanting to fly off allow her to do so talking to her through this process will help her feel less nervous and eventually she will sit on your hand without flying off. Also like sam says make sure there is nothing she can hurt herself on before taking her from the cage. mike. boro_lad1976@hotmail.com IP: Logged |
