i thought i was makin progress with my 2 month old cockatiel...she was coming on my finger and letting me pet her, but now it seems that the progress has just stopped. she still comes on my finger and lets me pet her occasionally but other than that ive made no futher progress. she even sometimes will bite me when i try to pet her...ive also tried to take her out of her cage once in a while but she'll only stay on my finger or shoulder for a short time then she'll fly off. am i doing something wrong? pleae help! thank you beth.

Hi, Cockatiels are very funny birds and can be very stubborn females especially.
Your doing great the may thing is to be patient and dont push her as she will end up not wanting to be held or petted and can soon become very agressive so keep taking it slow and you will soon see she will spend most of her time out of the cage and sat with you.
