hi,there is this one pet store near my house. 50% of their birds are plucking and all there budgies look sick(I DONT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM). i wont buy any of there pet. since one time i bought a box turtle from them and 1 week later he became very sick and had to have surgery. i want to know how they still keep in buisness after being checked by a inspector? this umbrella cockatoo is in a 15 x 15 x 24 glass cage.
how can i help these animals.-kyle

as an anilmal lover myself, I would call an avia vet tell them of whats happing, I would also call the local human society, and have them turned in that way, I have 2 tiels I got for Christmas, Simba past away 3 weeks ago, I thought it was something that I did, so I asked the vet to ck him out and let me know what he finds. he did just that. when me Son bought me the birds he didnt know simba was sick.the vet told me that simba had chewed himself raw under his wings. and that he created internal damage. so I went to the pet store down the road from my home and showed the owner the findings. we argued, I was so mad that I called everyone that I could think of, the human society got a court order and the human society took all the birds, fish,and other animals to their shelter, the ones that were tested healty were taken to well known pet stores the others that were ill were put to sleep. its a shame, but one disese will spread thru the colony of Birds and other animals. I got another bird for Nala and he sings, talks, he is to old for his feathers if u ask me.he never shuts up but I enjoy hearing him. his name is BamBam. but I think I would talk to the human society in your area and see if they can help you. thats animal abuse. I wish all the luck in the world. let me know the out come.
