i just got a parakeet yesterday and he now in the same cage as my other parakeet and they seem to be getting along fine, no fighting or anything. they barely go near each other, i think there just getting used to one another. but, the new one's tail is shaking, it seems like hes scared or something. he has some bird waste on him, not much at all though. i thought maybe he couldnt get it out of him? there both not hand tamed and scarced of humans because i got them at pet stores that didnt hand raise them. any ideas whats wrong with him and what to do to stop his shaking tail? Hi, Did you place the new bird straight in the cgae with the old one or did you keep them seperated for about 1week or longer. You should never put a new bird straight in with your old ones since the new bird could be ill have viruses and this is then transmitted to the other birds. I would suggest taking your birds to an avian vet to get them checked out just to be on the safe side. mike IP: Logged |
