hi ,
ive never owned a burmese python but want to very much.
but the chances of me owning a burmese is slim to none because it is illegal to own one here in australia.
but i assume is is the same as handling any other big snake, dont handle it unless you have a couple of other people in the room witrh you because they are pretty much impossible to control by yourself.
when feeding is concerned, what i used to do with my 8 foot water python is to just drop the rat/chicken or whatever you are feeding it into the cage and leave it to eat.
never go into the cage when it is eating and leave it for about 24 hours after it eats.otherwise it still might be in its eating mode and want to take a chunk out of you.
but ive never owned one so might be a good idea to get more than one opinion
