Hi. I have had APBTs for 2 years now, but the 3 I originally had were adults when I bought them. Well, I've just aquired 2 pups. One is about 7 weeks old, the other is about 12 weeks old. My question is, at what age should I quit 'free feeding' them, and start them on a regular feeding schedule? Thanks for any help. ------------------ IP: Logged |

I still free feed my adult dogs. None of them have a wieght problem. Schedule feeding didnt work for us, they dont want to eat it all at once. Just little bites here and there. My previous dog I think I started around 4 or5 months. IP: Logged |

When I got my adults, it took a little while to get them used to scheduled feedings, but they do great now. I feed them about 2 to 2-1/2 cups of NutroMax everyday. I just want to know if it will harm my pup to start him on scheduled feeding now, or wait a month or two. Any other input would be appreciated. Weight management isn't the issue, it's getting him on a regular pottt schedule, because he's an inside dog. Thanks! ------------------ IP: Logged |

I think it would be fine to put them on a feeding schedule now. IP: Logged |

Thanks for the info. I figured it would be okay, but wanted confirmation. Of course, other opinions are welcome and appreciated. ------------------ IP: Logged |
